DOST-PNRI invites students to join 1st PH Nuclear Science Olympiad
The Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (DOST-PNRI) encouraged junior and senior high school students to participate in the First Philippine Nuclear Science Olympiad (PNSO), which will be held in December.

Participants must be below 18 years old and not enrolled or admitted to a university or college by Aug. 7, 2024.
PNSO lead organizer Dr. Chitho Feliciano said the event's winners will not only receive medals, cash prizes, certificates, and special prizes, but will also receive training from PNRI scientists and researchers.
The training will prepare them for the First International Nuclear Science Olympiad (INSO), which will be held in the country on July 31-Aug. 7, 2024.
The INSO is open only to high school students.
DOST said each school can nominate up to three students, endorsed by either the Department of Education Division Office or the school principal or head.
The department said registration will be open until Nov. 17.
The PNSO Screening Committee will evaluate nominees based on a set of criteria, with the official participant list published on the PNRI website and social media pages on Nov. 22. The successful participants will also receive email.
Applicants must downlowad the registration form and PNSO guidelines at https://pnri.dost.gov.ph/index.php/downloads/pnso and email the completed forms and requirements to [email protected] and [email protected]
