The Caloocan City local government was cited by the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) for its efficient disaster and emergency response programs.
The National Capital Region NCR Resilience Champion Award recognized the city government of Caloocan for its outstanding efforts in integrating Disaster Risk Reduction and Management and Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (DRRM-CCAM) programs into its Comprehensive Development Plan.
Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo "Along" Malapitan affirmed his dedication to make his administration as one of the top-performing local government units in disaster and emergency response.
Since the campaign period until now, we have been continuously working to fulfill our promise to have one of the best disaster response units in the entire country),” he said.
That's why we are also focusing on environmental programs because what better way to reduce the adverse effects of calamities than by taking care of our environment),” he added.
