Blacklist International just couldn’t sustain its hot start and settled for a 1-1 record in its first two assignments in the opening day of the ONE Esports MPL Invitational at the GBK Basketball Hall in Jakarta, Indonesia on Wednesday, Nov. 15.

The Codebreakers opened their campaign with a strong 13-1 win over Saudi Arabia’s Team Falcon but absorbed a 3-12 demolition against Malaysian team Homebois in Group B.
Fielding a team spearheaded by Southeast Asian Games medalists Salic “Hadji” Imam, Dominic “Dominic” Soto and Lee Howard “Owl” Gonzales, Blacklist dominated every team fight against Falcon to build a lead that went to as many as 15k golds.
That huge advantage allowed its core heroes in Owl’s Bruno and Hadji’s Novaria to get their hands on the core items to finish the contest in just 14 minutes.
Owl, who capped the splendid showing with a Maniac, finished with a 5-0-2 KDA while HAdji added a 2-0-9 line to help Blacklist pick up its first win.
The team, however, suffered a quick reality check after starting out flat in the second game – something their Malaysian counterparts quickly took advantage of to hand the Filipinos their first loss.
Muhammad Nazhan "Chibi" Mohd Nor posed the biggest problem to Blacklist as he outplayed Ian “Rindo” Seguiran in their jungle match up.
He ran wild and took down every Blacklist member he encountered across the map to finish with a masterful 9-0-3 KDA on his jungle Martis pick.
Owl had a 1-0-2 line on the Brody to pace the Filipinos but Blacklist couldn’t drag the match to the late game where the Blacklist gold laner has the chance to trigger the comeback.
