The Parañaque city government distributed livelihood assistance to 151 beneficiaries of "Tulong Pangkabuhayan" program on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said the distribution of assistance to 151 beneficiaries from the city’s 16 barangays was held at the Treasury Lounge at the Parañaque City Hall.
Olivarez said the beneficiaries underwent training at the Parañaque Livelihood Resource Management Office to enable them to own a business and earn additional income.
He said the first-time beneficiaries of "Tulong Pangkabuhayan" are entitled to receive P10,000 loan from the city government payable within one year without interest.
The mayor said the beneficiaries can still avail another loan amounting to P15,000 from the city government as an additional funding to the business they already started.
Olivarez said the ‘Tulong Pangkabuhayan’ is a one of the priority projects of the city government to help uplift the living condition of every resident.
He said the project was made possible through the initiative of the Parañaque Cooperative Development Office under Amie Martin.
