16-year-old, 2 others arrested in Makati drug sting; P374K shabu seized
The Southern Police District (SPD) seized suspected shabu worth P374,000 from a 16-year-old boy and two cohorts during a buy-bust operation in Makati City on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
The SPD-Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) identified two of the arrested suspects as “Kim”, 21, female, and "Reggie”, 18.
The suspects were arrested in Barangay Rizal in Makati around 5 p.m. during the an entrapment operation conducted by members of SPD-DEU, District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Southern District Office (PDEA-SDO), and Makati City Police Substation 9.
Confiscated during the operation were 13 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected “shabu”, one P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money, and three mobile phones.
Authorities are now preparing to file charges against the suspects for violation of Sections 5, 11, and 26 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
SPD director Brig. Gen. Mark Pespes commended the joint efforts of the operating team for contributing to the mission of the SPD to abolish illegal drug activities within the Southern Metro.
