When it comes to jewelry, nothing could compete with the lasting beauty of diamond-adorned pieces. We heard their story, diamond jewelry pieces are forged by nature and crafted by man. Natural diamonds of certain colors and carats are rare to find that’s why, for many jewelry aficionados, ensuring that the pieces they buy are authentic is a must.
Many brands offer diamond jewelry in the country but for discerning shoppers on a hunt for natural diamonds, one of their go-to labels is Tessera. Since 2011, co-founders Papat and Carl Fider have been providing certified natural diamonds and jewelry pieces with their brand. With their dedication to craftsmanship, authenticity, and personalized service, their label rose as one of the top jewelry brands in the Philippines. Now, Tessera adds a new feather to its cap as it becomes a partner of the International Gemological Institute (IGI).
“I believe this is something that is first in the country, an international partnership,” Papat says. “The reason why we did this is we want to value authenticity. We want our clients to be confident that when they buy from Tessera, it is all natural and authentic diamonds. This is a new initiative in the jewelry industry.”
Founded in 1975 in Antwerp, Belgium, the IGI is a major center for the global diamond trade. Its goal is to provide independent and unbiased certification for diamonds, gemstones, and jewelry with its high standards and commitment to accuracy and transparency.
Apart from being an IGI partner, Tessera Jewelry is also known for its wide selection of conflict-free, naturally mined diamonds. It works in compliance with the Kimberley Process, an international system that certifies diamonds as “conflict-free” or obtained from geographical areas where there is no ongoing armed conflict.
Shoppers can see the brand’s pieces at its holiday pop-up store at Greenbelt 5, Makati City. There, people can also check out some of the ways the brand uses to test the authenticity of their diamond pieces.
“With an IGI certification, clients are assured and have confidence in the diamond pieces they choose, knowing that each stone has undergone rigorous examination and has passed the highest industry standards,” Papat explains.
Apart from the Greenbelt pop-up, shoppers can also visit their showrooms at 38 Rockwell, 1 Proscenium, Arton Strip in Katipunan, Quezon City, and Ayala Abreeza, Davao.
