P197,000 shabu seized, 12 drug personalities fall in Cordillera

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police arrested 13 drug personalities and illegal drugs worth P197,075 were seized in the Cordillera from November 5 to 11.

The suspects were identified as Jimran Elias, 27; Roldan Elias, 36; Edgar Garino; 28; Elvis Mocate, 35; Christian Beneyat, 26; Clarence Gunday, 42; Griffin Keit Sobremo, 25; Joshua Moling, 21; John Mark Orata, 18; John Basungit, 50; Arnold Austria, 25; Ryan Zamora, 27, and Nolasco Dangayo, 36.

The Police Regional Office-Cordillera said suspects yielded a total of 27.52 grams of shabu, with eight nabbed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office, Baguio City Police Office, two, and one each from the Ifugao and Kalinga PPOs.

They and pieces of evidence were brought to their arresting units and charges for violation Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against them.
