ICTSI's Brazil port welcomes new ships for Europe-Mediterranean route
Rio Brasil Terminal (RBT), the International Container Terminal Services Inc.'s (ICTSI) operating unit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, welcomed the arrival of two new ships whose routes include port stops in Europe and the Mediterranean.
The Sirius/Neo Bossa service, comprising the 9,000-TEU Maersk Lota and the 10,000-TEU CMA CGM Columbia, is jointly operated by CMA CGM and Maersk.

The Sirius/Neo Bossa service connects Europe and the Mediterranean to the east coast of South America through its transshipment hubs Tanger Med in Morocco and Algeciras in Spain.
Aside from offering an efficient transit time, the ICTSI also said the new call is the best import service option for Brazilian customers to access customers and markets in Southern Europe, as well as the eastern and western Mediterranean.
The port service rotates through a sequence beginning in Algeciras (Spain) to Tanger Med (Morocco) to Salvador (Brazil) to Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) to Santos (Brazil) to Itapoá (Brazil) to Paranaguá (Brazil) to Santos (Brazil) to Itaguaà (Brazil) to Tanger Med (Morocco) and then to Algeciras (Spain).
