Parañaque LGU to start distribution of cash gifts for senior citizens
The distribution of Christmas and birthday cash gifts for senior citizens in Paranaque City will start on Nov. 15, the city government announced.
Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said senior citizens included in the city government’s Office of the Senior Citizens Affair (OSCA) Cares program are entitled to receive Christmas and birthday cash gifts.
Olivarez told senior citizens to visit the Facebook page of the Public Information Office (PIO) to check the date, time and place of the release of their cash gifts.
He said representatives of senior citizens aged 60 to 80 years old must bring authorization letter indicating the name of authorized person, photo copy of senior and OSCA Cares ID with three specimen signature, photocopy of valid ID of authorized person with three specimen signature; the original IDs like the senior citizen ID, OSCA Cares ID, and valid ID of the authorized representative.
The mayor said representatives of senior citizens aged 85 years old and above must also bring the stated requirements plus the printed 5R picture of the senior citizen and the representative.
Olivarez said those who failed to arrive on the scheduled date of the release may coordinate or visit the OCSA located on the second floor of Parañaque City Hall on the following dates: Nov. 29 and 30; Dec. 1, 2 and 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., or call at 0927-199-4824 or at telephone number 8820-7542.
