Manila Cathedral invites faithful to activities for Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception
The Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception (Manila Cathedral) in Intramuros, Manila is inviting the faithful to join in the celebration of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception on Dec. 8, Friday, as it holds several activities for the special event in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The nine-day novena mass in honor of the solemnity will begin on Nov. 29.
On Dec. 3, the 42nd Intramuros Grand Marian Procession of the Confradia de la Immaculada Concepcion will be held on the streets of the walled city.
The much anticipated grand procession, which was put on hold for two years at the height of the pandemic, traditionally features hundreds of revered Marian images from different parts of the country in elaborately decorated carriages.
Lastly, on Dec. 11, the Manila Cathedral will mark its liturgical dedication with holy masses in all the parishes under the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Manila.
Manila Cathedral is the first cathedral in the country and the Mother Church of the Philippines.
