Billionaire Andrew Tan’s global whisky and brandy conglomerate Emperador Inc. reported a 5.5 percent decline in its attributable net income to P6.8 billion in the first nine months of 2023 from the P7.2 billion earned in the same period last year.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), the firm said its revenues increased by 10 percent year-on-year to P47.1 billion in the first nine months of 2023.

“Noteworthy is the third quarter net income attributable to parent company which rose 5 percent year-on-year,” it added.
Emperador said its international business continued to experience double-digit growth owing to its sustained sales of single malt whiskies across different markets across the globe, particularly in Asia and North America.
“The company continues to surge ahead in light of the challenging complexities in the world,” said Emperador Inc. President Winston Co.
He noted that, “we have a compelling whisky portfolio driving the international business and a brandy segment driven by innovation and premiumization. Overall, for 2023, our company hopes to end the year with a strong performance.”
Emperador Inc. is a global spirits conglomerate that owns an iconic brandy portfolio led by Spanish brandy Fundador and Emperador Brandy, the world’s largest-selling brandy by volume.
It also owns Whyte and Mackay, the world’s fifth largest Scotch whisky producer that owns a sublime and impressive single malt portfolio.
The company’s Tamnavulin Speyside Highland Single Malt is the world’s fastest growing single malt in the last five years.
