Bohol governor swears in newly elected village execs


CEBU CITY – Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado administered the mass oath-taking of newly elected barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials in various areas in the province.

Newly elected officials from 44 barangays in Ubay took their oath before Aumentado at the Ramon Magsaysay Gym on Monday, November 13.

The mass oath-taking was also attended by Ubay Mayor Constantino Reyes, Vice Mayor Victor Bonghanoy, the municipal council, and officials from the Department of Interior and Local Government.

In his speech, Aumentado reiterated his administration’s pursuit of “honest, sincere, and clean governance.”

Aumentado also encouraged the barangay officials to serve the public with integrity.

The governor added that his office is always open for barangay officials should they need help in matters involving their barangays.

From Ubay, Aumentado proceeded to Calape for a separate mass oath-taking.

Some 33 barangay officials and 14 SK officials from Calape took their oath before the governor.

Calape Mayor Julius Caesar Herrera and some council members witnessed the oath-taking.

On Friday, November 10, Aumentado  administered the oath of winning candidates in from various barangays in Bien Unido, Trinidad, Dagohoy and Inabanga.
