2 students die in motorcycle crash in Pangasinan

URDANETA CITY, Pangasinan – Two students died and their companion was injured in a motorcycle crash on the bypass road in Barangay Santa Lucia here on November 10.

Police identified the fatalities as Albert James Andrada Corpuz, 21, driver, and his backrider Kevin Casuga Tacob, 19.

The second backrider, Ismael Ventilla Manzano, 19, of Barangay Cabaruan, this city, was injured.

Investigation said the victims were on their way home from a drinking spree in a restobar when Corpuz lost control of the motorcycle when they reached a sharp curve portion of the road and hit a metal solar light post and metal barrier.

Corpuz and Tacob, who were not wearing helmets, sustained serious injuries and were taken to the Urdaneta District Hospital where they were declared dead.

Manzano was also taken to the same hospital where he is now in stable condition.
