Parañaque LGU holds mini-job fair for overseas employment

The Parañaque city government conducted a mini-job fair for overseas employment at the Parañaque City Sports Complex. on Friday, Nov. 10.
Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said four overseas companies and a local company participated in the mini-job fair.
Olivarez said 160 job openings were offered to residents who wanted to work abroad.
He said of the 587 applicants who registered in the mini-job fair, four were immediately hired on the spot.
The mayor said the job fair was part of the city government's commitment to help city residents find works not only for local employment but also overseas.
Olivarez said the job fair was made possible in coordination with the Public Employment Services Office (PESO), the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and the Department of Migrant Workers.
He said aside from PESO personnel, DOLE MunTaParLas Director Jun Castillon also attended the mini-job fair.
