Magno, speaking during their mass oath-taking ceremony on Friday, November 10, emphasized the significance of barangay officials in nation-building as the barangay is the basic political unit of society. He said that accomplishing a nation-building endeavor relies on the efforts of the barangay officials.
Echoing the message of Kidapawan City Mayor Jose Paolo Evangelista, Magno said that the gauge of public service extends beyond electoral victory, encompassing dedicated service provided to constituents.
Magno assured barangay officials that they would receive help from the city government of Kidapawan and the government through the Office of the Presidential Assistant for Mindanao-Eastern (OPAMINE).
“I hope that our relationship in the barangay level up to the national level will continue for the development of our nation,” Magno said.
Evangelista said he would congratulate them at the end of their terms after rendering fruitful service to the public.
