CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Police rescued a Chinese allegedly kidnapped in Pasay City over a P10-million debt in Barangay Ilijan, Batangas City, on Friday morning, November 10.
The Police Regional Office 4-A identified the victim as Liu Xin, 28, single, from Liaoning, China.
Investigation said four compatriots abducted and forced Liu into a Sports Utility Vehicle.
The suspects travelled to Batangas City and left him in Barangay Ilijan. Xiu roamed around for three hours until he managed to seek help from residents.
Residents informed the 1st Batangas Provincial Mobile Force Company who fetched the victim.
He was turned over to the Batangas City police and told lawmen that he was kidnapped over non-payment of a P10-million debt. Xiu refused to divulge the name of the company where he works and where he was exactly he was abducted in Pasay.
Xi was taken to the Batangas Medical Center in this city for examination. Batangas City police has requested assistance from Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) over the case.
