UP-Manila grads lead October 2023 Physicians Licensure exams


Graduates from the University of the Philippines- Manila (UPM) led the October 2023 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said on Friday, Nov. 10.

UPM topped the results after recording 164 out of 168 (97 percent) examinees who passed the PLE.

Two examinees from UPM made it to the top 10: Jon Michael Saluta Kimpo (4th rank) and Tranquil Matthew Apasan Salvador IV (5th rank).

Meanwhile, the following in the list are Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) in the second spot and Angeles University Foundation in the third rank.

Moreover, Cebu Institute of Medicine (CIM), where the top notcher Justin Riley Yap Lam came from, secured the fourth rank in the list of top-performing schools.

The examination took place in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

The Board of Physicians facilitated the test on Oct. 20 to 21 and 27 to 28.
