Solon lauds Kabankalan native for placing 7th in licensure exam


BACOLOD CITY – Negros Occidental Rep. Mercedes Alvarez has cited a native of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental for placing seventh in the November 2023 Pharmacist Licensure Examination.

“Another proud moment for the Chicks (Candoni, Hinobaan, Ilog, Cauayan, Kabankalan, and Sipalay) area,” said Alvarez in a Facebook post on the achievement of Barangay Tabugon resident Dhavon Ralo, a cum laude graduate of the Colegio San Agustin here who garnered a 92 percent rating.

Alvarez said that Ralo is an alumnus of the Tabugon Elementary School, Tabugon National High School, and Kabankalan Catholic College Senior High School.

Ralo, in a Facebook post, dedicated his success to his mother. 

“To my Nanay, this is all for you. I know that this feat would not be possible without your sacrifices and hard work,” Ralo said. You are the pillar of my hope, motivation, and strength, he added.

Ralo also thanked his father and siblings for their unwavering support and love and mentors and teachers for imparting their knowledge and expertise. “Thank you to everyone else who nevertheless gave their utmost support and encouragement,” Ralo said.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said 2,974 out of 4,038 examinees passed the examination held in the National Capital Region (NCR) and the cities of Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
