Most Filipinos in Gaza have left the war-torn Palestinian territory amid Israel bombardments, President Marcos said on Friday, Nov. 10.

Marcos disclosed that 56 more Filipinos have left Gaza, bringing to 98 the total of nationals who have crossed the Rafah border.
"Happy to hear the update that 56 more Filipinos have left Gaza amid the Israel-Hamas conflict, joining the 42 who had previously crossed," Marcos said on X, formerly Twitter.
"This brings the total to 98 out of the 137 originally in Gaza, now en route to Cairo," he added.
According to the President, 34 of them have boarded their flight to Qatar and will arrive Friday at 4:30 p.m.
"The safe journey of our nationals is of utmost importance, and we look forward to welcoming them home," he said.
Before the war between Israel and Hamas broke out, there were 137 Filipinos in Gaza, two of them are Filipino doctors who were among those who exited Gaza through the Rafah border—the only way out of war-torn Gaza—on Nov. 2.
Of the 137, 19 Filipinos wanted to stay, while the rest were willing to leave Gaza.
At present, most of those who expressed willingness to leave Gaza have already left and are gradually coming back to the Philippines.
