When it comes to timeless elegance and romantic silhouettes, trust that Filipino designer Mark Bumgarner can deliver. With his attention to detail and superb taste, he became the go-to designer of Manila’s most stylish personalities, which also led him to showcase his works abroad. Last October, the designer ticked off another fashion destination on his list as he presented his spring-summer 2024 collection at F/Row Fashion Week in Los Angeles.
His latest collection explored redefined luxury with neon colors and floral motifs. Gracing the runway were pieces in chartreuse and fuchsia adorned with delicate blooms. It also featured pieces glittering pieces with elegantly placed bow accents, a sharp tuxedo suit in metallic silk lamé, and his signature clover dress.
Bringing drama to his collection were his black pieces. One of the most notable pieces was his final look worn by Pia Wurtzbach. The former Miss Universe was clad in a meticulously crafted corseted gown featuring a pannier skirt and an elaborate train.
“In a world saturated by hyper streetwear, Bumgarner offered a respite with his focus on finely crafted, classic pieces that exuded modern appeal and undeniable sophistication,” his brand said. “Each creation is a luxurious embodiment of fashion you could not only see but also feel and touch—pieces that transported you to the intersection of the present and the unapologetically glamorous now.”
