Alejandro provided the spark, firing away 15 of his career-high 18 points in the final frame, highlighted by four triples including three straight to anchor a pivotal 22-4 run that proved to be the key in the come-from-behind win.
The 5-foot-11 guard nailed three triples in succession to open the fourth quarter which seemed to have taken off the lid in the Fuel Masters’ baskets as rookies Ricci Rivero and Ken Tuffin followed suit with their own triples to suddenly build an 18 point lead, 112-94, in the waning minutes
Jonathan Williams, who kept Phoenix afloat in the first half when they trailed by as many as 16, 85-69, finished with 26 points and eight rebounds.
Tyler Tio provided support with 17 and eight assists while Tuffin and Rivero wound up with 16 and 15, respectively.
Phoenix was actually still trailing 76-88 heading into the final frame before Alejandro triggered the massive uprising that saw the Fuel Masters explode for 35 points while limiting the Road Warriors to just 15.
Former NBA top five pick Thomas Robinson lived up to the billing in the first half where he collected 19 of his 26 points but was slowed down by the Phoenix defense and forced him to commit 10 turnovers.
Don Trollano added 20 points while Kevin Alas chipped in 18 in the losing effort.
