The 14th Asia CEO Awards ceremony, which honored some notable personalities, kicked off in the Grand Ballroom of Marriott in Pasay City last October 24, 2023. The participants were happy to be part of the awarding activity and being witnesses to the recognition given to awardees including Walther Buenavista, the acclaimed CEO of Shawarma Shack Group, receive the prestigious "Young Leader of the Year" award amid the lively atmosphere. This recognition, which denotes outstanding achievements, helps to improve the country's economic status on the world stage.

In a field of eight outstanding nominees, Walther's exceptional contributions and unwavering dedication to Shawarma Shack Group sets him apart. This award underscores his innovative leadership, which has propelled the brand to new heights.

Also one of the awardees is Andrew Tan, the Founder and Chairman of Alliance Global Group, who received the Lifetime Contributor award. Alliance Global Group is one of the country’s largest conglomerates and parent company of Megaworld, Emperador, Newport World Resorts, McDonald’s Philippines and Infracorp Development as Lifetime Contributor awardee. Andrew Tan is among the Forbes 10 Billionaires in the Philippines. Megaworld’s iconic projects have contributed significantly to the nation’s economic growth and urbanization. Emperador has become a major global player in the global spirits industry. Representing the public sector, former Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales also received the same award.
