Las Piñas LGU issues advisory for Undas


 

The Las Piñas City government issued guidelines for those who will pay respect to their departed loved ones in observance of Undas or All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day on Nov. 1 and 2, respectively.

Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar urged residents to locate the first aid station and police assistance booths in the cemeteries they are visiting.

Aguilar said the first aid station will be manned by health personnel to give medical assistance to those who are in need of help while the police assistance booths will assist in case any untoward incident happens and will maintain peace and order in major places of convergence.

The guidelines issued by the city government prohibit the bringing of liquor, deadly weapon, loud speakers, cards for gambling and any foods or items for sale.

Visitors were also urged to bring enough food and drinks, umbrella or hats to be used against the heat and rain.

Parents were advised to ensure that their children are wearing identification cards or card board with lace and not to allow them to roam inside the cemetery.

The guidelines also urged visitors to bring trash bag and to throw this to designates garbage area after use.

The mayor also asked residents to make sure that appliances are unplugged, their gas tanks are closed, and not to leave lighted candles or any valuables inside their homes and to prevent posting on social media the details of their  vacation plans.
