Iloilo-based electric distribution utility, More Electric and Power Corp. (MORE Power), has formed a partnership with the World Surgical Foundation Phils. (WSFP) Inc. to address healthcare disparities in underserved areas.
In a statement on Monday, Oct. 9, MORE Power said the collaboration aims to implement surgical outreach activities that will provide impoverished communities in Iloilo and Bacolod City with high-quality medical and surgical care.
WSFP is a non-stock, non-profit charitable foundation with a mission to deliver top-notch surgical healthcare to marginalized individuals and communities throughout the Philippines.
The foundation is known for its medico-mercy surgical missions, also referred to as surgical outreach projects, which are facilitated through the Direct Surgical Support Program Pillar.
These joint efforts will be carried out in various regions of the Philippines, offering professional medical and surgical services free of charge to indigent patients who lack access to affordable and quality healthcare.
MORE Power and WSFP are committed to reaching poverty-stricken communities and ensuring that they receive the critical healthcare services they rightfully deserve. (Gabriell Christel Galang)
