In celebration of togetherness and the Filipino spirit, Tingog Party-list held the "Tingog Family Day" at the Quezon Memorial Circle, Quezon City on Saturday, Oct. 7.
The event included a medical mission that provided a wide array of services, such as teleconsultation, laboratory/diagnostics, x-ray, ECG, medicine distribution, and eye consultation with free eyeglasses.
A service fair also took place with key agencies, namely the Social Security System (SSS), Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Prior to the family day, an offsite payout for the residents of districts 1 and 3 in Quezon City was held at Quezon Memorial Circle Basketball Court.
The cash aid was distributed under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The AICS program is a government initiative that aims to provide immediate and temporary assistance to individuals and families who are affected by crises. The beneficiaries include those from the indigent, vulnerable, disadvantaged, and informal sectors.
With the program’s success, Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez spoke about her party’s dedication to providing services for Filipinos.
"Totoong nagtatrabaho po tayo, at napatunayan natin yan sa ating track record, dahil number one party-list po ang Tingog pagdating sa pagbibigay ng serbisyo. Ramdam na ramdam po namin ang inyong pagmamahal, kaya gusto po namin itong suklian," she said.
(We are truly are working and we have proven that in our track record, because Tingog is the number one party-list when it comes to providing service. We really feel your love, so we want to reciprocate.)
The AICS initiative was spearheaded by the Office of House Speaker Martin Romualdez and Tingog Party-list Reps. Romualdez and Jude Acidre. Also lending their hand to the event were Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, 1st district Rep. Arjo Atayde, and 3rd district Rep. Franz Pumaren.
