Rain showers to prevail over PH due to LPA trough, thunderstorms
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Sunday, Oct. 8, said that it still monitors the Low Pressure Area (LPA) outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) which was at 1,505 kilometers east of Visayas.

Weather specialist Benison Estareja said the LPA still has a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours but may enter PAR on Monday or Tuesday, Oct. 9 or 10.
Estareja added that the trough of the LPA will affect the eastern portion of Mindanao while the LPA itself may affect Visayas and the rest of Mindanao as it moves closer inside PAR.
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers will be experienced in Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur due to the trough of the LPA, said PAGASA.
PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. (Lizst Torres Abello)
