Businessman Cesar Rafael M. Concio Jr., husband of actress-media executive Charo Santos-Concio, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 4, weeks before celebrating his 92nd birthday.

ABS-CBN confirmed the news and expressed their condolences to Charo and her family on Instagram on Saturday, Oct. 7.

"ABS-CBN sends its heartfelt condolences to Charo Santos-Concio and her family on the passing of Cesar Concio Jr. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time, Kapamilya," the caption said.

Although she hasn't been public regarding her marriage life, Charo opened up about what she likes most about her husband during an exclusive interview with Pep.ph in 2019.

"Kasi ano, e, nirespeto yung pagkatao ko. So I'm just really paying tribute to the man who loved me unconditionally," said Charo in the same interview.

(Why? Because he respected me and the life that I had. So I'm just really paying tribute to the man who loved me unconditionally.)

Being married for almost 41 years and the 24-year age gap didn't bother Charo to love his husband and raise a family. She even called Cesar an inspiration when she became the president of the Kapamilya network.

"I guess he's a selfless man, and he was very, very happy for my successes. Yung ganung klaseng asawa ay di madamot. He allowed me to pursue my dreams. He allowed me to fly. He allowed me to commit my mistakes. He still loved me unconditionally," Charo said.

(I guess he's a selfless man, and he was very, very happy for my successes. That kind of husband is not selfish. He allowed me to pursue my dreams. He allowed me to fly. He allowed me to commit my mistakes. He still loved me unconditionally.)

The family did not reveal the cause of his demise.
