Bianca Pagdanganan carded a second straight 1-under-par 70 to jump at joint 15th after two rounds in the Ascendant LPGA at The Colony, Texas on Friday, Oct. 6 (Saturday in Manila).

Pagdanganan fumbled with bogeys on the fifth and seventh holes before picking herself up with three straight birdies from the 16th to tally 140, eight strokes behind Korean Hyo Joo Kim.
The world No. 7 Kim maintained a two-shot lead after firing a 68 highlighted by four birdies for a 36-hole total of 10-under 132, two clear of Paraguay’s Sofia Garcia with Celine Boutier and Lexi Thompson sharing third another two strokes back on 136.
Dottie Ardina, meanwhile, slightly improved her game with a second-round 70 for 142 to share the 40th spot with nine others.
Starting at the back nine, Ardina stumbled with back-to-back bogeys on the 11th and 12th but fought back with a birdie on the par-5 13th hole.
She held her ground and added two more birdies to remain in contention in the 72-hole tournament.
Ardina tees off at the back nine anew with Katherine Muzi and Su Oh at 8:55 a.m. with high hopes of catching up at the leaderboard.
Pagdanganan, for her part, starts the third round at 9:39 a.m. with Aline Krauter and Yin Xiaowen.
