P1.7-M shabu seized from big-time drug trafficker

ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat – Police arrested a suspected big-time drug pusher and seized shabu worth P1.7 million in a buy-bust operation in Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat on Friday, October 6.

Police Col. Christopher Bermudez, Sultan Kudarat police director, said the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested Halima Kamad, a resident of Kabuntalan Talipapa, Datu Piang, Maguindanao.

Kamad yielded 250 grams of shabu with an estimated market value of P1.7 million.

Authorities tagged the suspect as a high-value drug trafficker operating in Maguindanao and Sultan Kudarat.

Suspect faces drug-related charges and is detained at the PDEA detention facility in Koronadal City.
