No tsunami threat after 7.0-magnitude quake in Papua New Guinea --- Phivolcs
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Saturday, Oct. 7, said that there was "no tsunami" threat to the Philippines after the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that rocked Papua New Guinea.

Phivolcs said the quake occurred at 4:34 p.m. in Eastern New Guinea.
The tremor has a depth of 72 kilometers (km), Phivolcs said.
"No destructive tsunami threat exists based on available data," said Phivolcs.
Phivolcs also advised that “no action" is required after the recorded earthquake. (Lizst Torres Abello)
