Gang leader, cohort nabbed in drug bust

CAMP GEN. PACIANO RIZAL, Santa Cruz, Laguna – The leader of a crime group and his companion were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Canlalay, Biñan City, this province, on Wednesday, October 4.

Police Col. Harold Depositar, Laguna police director, identified the suspects as “Marvin” and “Daryl.”

Marvin was the leader of the Paguio Crime Group operating in Laguna.

He was arrested after selling suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer at 12:55 a.m.

Nine plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 1.9 grams, a sling bag, a caliber .38 revolver, 50 bullets, and a motorcycle were seized from the suspects.

Suspects are now in the custody of the Biñan City Police Station and face drug-related and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition cases.

Pieces of evidence will be forwarded to the Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for examination.
