Delivery hub robbery suspects nabbed in Bacolod, traced thru GPS
BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested three persons, including a former security guard, in Purok Pag-asa, Barangay Alijis, this city, after allegedly robbing the delivery hub of an online shopping platform in Barangay Zone 12, Talisay City, Negros Occidental on Thursday, October 5.

The suspects were identified as Rodolfo Suelan, 49, of Barangay Taculing here, former security guard; and Roberto delo Santos, 42, tricycle driver, and Richard Parcon, 45, both residents of Barangay Villamonte, this city.
Closed-circuit television camera footage sent by Police Col. Noel Aliño, Bacolod police director, to the media revealed that the suspects on board a motorcycle barged into the compound of the delivery hub, threatened the employees at gunpoint, and carted away their cellular phones.
Victims reported the incident to the Talisay City Police Station which immediately conducted a dragnet operation that led to a brief chase.
Police Major Wilfredo Benoman Jr., deputy chief of TCPS, said the suspects were tracked thru the Global Positioning System (GPS) on one of the stolen cellular phones.
The TCPS asked assistance from the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) after the suspects were seen moving toward this city.
Aliño said the suspects, who were armed and wearing bullet proof vest, were on board a Pajero and a motorcycle when they were cornered by Police Stations 6 and 7 and TCPS.
One of the suspects even jumped off a bridge to escape but policemen managed to arrest him.
Police recovered from Suelan a Smith and Wesson .38 caliber revolver with five bullets, a black jacket, a motorcycle without license plate, two cellular phones, and P801.
Delo Santos yielded a Smith and Wesson .357 caliber revolver loaded with five bullets, eight .357 caliber bullets, a holster camouflage, a sling bag, a camouflage jacket, and a cellular phone while Parcon had a Smith and Wesson .38 caliber revolver with six ammunition, a black wallet, black sling bag, two black helmets, a backpack, and the car.
Suspects are detained at Talisay City Police Station and will be charged with robbery and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition in relation to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) gun ban.
“This is a well-coordinated operation with Negros Occidental police,” Aliño said as he emphasized the importance of time essence in quick response.
