Couple killed as pickup truck rams motorcycle

BACOLOD CITY – A couple was killed after their motorcycle was rammed by a pickup truck on the highway in Purok Masinadyahon, Barangay Lagasan, Bago City, Negros Occidental on Thursday, October 5.

Police identified the victims as Benjie Siasico, 47, and his wife Mary Joy, residents of Barangay Pacol, Bago City.

Investigation said Benjie was driving towards Barangay Ma-ao when the tailing pickup truck driven by a 22-year-old college student hit the rear of their motorcycle.

The motorcycle swerved and ended up on the roadside, causing severe injuries to him and Mary Joy.

The Siasicos were taken to a hospital where they were declared dead.

The suspect driver surrendered and was placed under police custody. The suspect allegedly failed to notice the victims.
