2,740 pass September CPA licensure exam — PRC


The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 2,740 out of 8,734 examinees passed the September 2023 certified public accountants licensure examination (CPALE).

PRC announced on Oct. 6 that Allaine Beduya Collamar and Hebban Talib Tawantawan from the University of the Philippines- Visayas- Tacloban (UPV-Tacloban) and University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R), respectively, topped the board examination, which was held from Sept. 30, Oct. 1, and 2.

Frances Anne Balela Foronda from Isabela State University-Echague came in second.

They were followed by John Patrick Soriben Fronda from Phinma-Upang College Urdaneta, Inc., and Aldrich Carl Pineda Galang from Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University in the third spot.

The examination took place in Metro Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

It was facilitated by the Board of Accountancy headed by its chairman, Noe G. Quiñanola, vice chairman Samuel B. Padilla, and members Gloria T. Baysa, Thelma S. Ciudadano, Gervacio I. Piator, and Maria Teresita Z. Dimaculangan.

PRC said passers may register online for their Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration from Nov. 28 to 29, Dec. 1, and Dec. 4 to 7.

Passers can view the instructions for registration at prc.gov.ph.

Furthermore, the requirements for registration include a downloaded duly accomplished oath form or "Panunumpa ng Propesyonal," notice of admission, two pieces of passport-sized pictures (colored with a white background and complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps, and a short brown envelope.

PRC said the date and venue of the CPA inductees' oathtaking will be announced soon.
