Police net P1-M shabu in Lucena City

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Fifty grams of shabu worth more than P1 million was seized and two suspected drug pushers were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Cotta, this city, on Thursday, October 5.

Quezon police director Police Col. Ledon Monte identified the suspects as Diego Llagono, alias “Red,” 38, single, resident of Lanzonesan 2, Barangay Ilayang Talim here, and Maricel Bulfa, alias “Mace,” 49, of Purok Isla Matahimik, Barangay Cotta, this city.

Monte said police conducted the operation against the suspects considered as high-value individuals after validating the report from residents regarding their illegal activities.

Suspects yielded nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 50 grams and marked money.

Drug-related cases are being readied against the suspects.
