Pateros launches 'Bigasang Bayan on Wheels' to provide affordable rice to public

The Pateros municipal government launched on Oct. 6 the “Bigasang Bayan on Wheels” that will continue to offer affordable rice following the lifting of the price cap by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

The “Bigasang Bayan on Wheels” will go to different barangays in Pateros and sell regular milled rice at P41 per kilo and well-milled rice at P45 per kilo, the price cap imposed by the President.

According to the municipal government, the aim of the project of Mayor Miguel Ponce III is to help residents, who don’t need to spend money for fare to buy affordable rice. Those who will buy rice are urged to bring their own eco bag or container.

The “Bigasang Bayan on Wheels” will sell well-milled rice in the following area in Pateros:

Oct. 6 - Barangay Sta. Ana

Dulosik in front of chapel - 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Kaliwa Barangay Hall - 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Kanan Masikap Court - 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Oct. 7 - Barangay Sta. Ana

Masagana in front of chapel - 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Ragas back of PNP headquarters - 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Barangay San Roque

AMC gym - 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Oct. 8 - Barangay San Roque

AMC gym - 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

BPI bank - 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
