NPA arms cache unearthed in Laguna

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Police unearthed a New People’s Army arms cache in Barangay Santa Rosa, Alaminos, this province, on Thursday, October 5.

The Police Regional Office 4-A said that the 1st Laguna Provincial Mobile Force Company was  conducting an internal security operation when a member of the Barangay Intelligence Network informed them that the NPA has buried weapons somewhere in the area.

The information was validated and a thorough search was conducted until the arms cache containing a caliber .22, a 40mm M203 grenade, 18 bullets for an M16 rifle, and a black T-shirt was discovered buried in the middle of a forested area.

The 1st LPMFC turned them over to the Alaminos Municipal Police Station for custody and proper disposition.
