The world of the married: Police sarge lands in jail for being unfaithful to wife

Hell, as they say, hath no fury like a woman scorned and this time, it involves a wife of a police sergeant who taught her husband a hard lesson about monogamy.

This, after operatives of the Philippine National Police-Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (PNP-IMEG) arrested 36-year old Police Master Sgt. John Ledesma Mollenido over a concubinage case filed by her wife that is now under the sala of Judge Antonio Oyao Del Val, of the Municipal Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Tanza, Cavite.

PNP-IMEG director Brig. Gen. Warren de Leon said Mollenido was arrested in a hotel in Makati City based on the arrest warrant issued by del Val.

“He was arrested based on the case filed by his wife, his complainant, whom he betrayed by cohabiting with another woman,” said de Leon.

De Leon explained that the involvement of the IMEG in the operation against their fellow policeman was based on the instruction of PNP chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda to preserve the integrity of the organization.

“We will not tolerate this kind of immoral activity by members of the police organization because this always results in a broken family,” said de Leon.

Mollenido is now detained at the IMEG office at Camp Crame.
