Olivarez said the Rotary Club of Makati Southeast, led by its president Juliet L. Bantiling, turned over 100 toys to the center located in Barangay Sto. Niño on Oct. 4.
He said the sensory builder and calm-down toys donated to the center are a big help for children to develop their motor skills and improve their social skills.
The mayor said the Parañaque City Center for Children with Special Needs is the first in Metro South and second in the National Capital Region that gives services to children with special needs.
Olivarez said children suffering from neurodevelopmental disorders like Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD (attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder), GDD (global development delay), learning and intellectual disabilities are being given help and various services at the center.
