Mayor Eric Olivarez signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with representatives of the six Guam municipalities.

He highlighted the importance of the sister-city relationship as this helps the city government adopt and exchange good practices and programs that are geared toward policy improvement and economic growth, and in the promotion of culture and tourism of the city.

Olivarez said the sisterhood agreement with Guam would open and create more opportunities for both local governments where they can both share practices that would benefit them.

To further solidify the sisterhood ties between Parañaque City and Guam, the city executives and their counterpart Guam officials unveiled a commemorative marker of the sisterhood relationship at the Parañaque City Hall Lobby.

The signing of the MOA and the unveiling of the sister city marker coincided with the mayor's birthday celebration on Wednesday, Oct. 4.

A dance competition was prepared by City Hall employees on Wednesday at the Paranaque City Sports Complex, as well as a thanksgiving mass.

Olivarez joined a dance performance prepared by the Mayor’s office to the tune of VST and company's popular song “Awitin Mo, Isasayaw Ko."

He thanked the City Hall department heads and employees for the birthday treat prepared for him.

The mayor started his week-long birthday celebration on Sept. 30 with programs and services for the city residents.
