4 die in tragic Taguig house fire


A mother, her two daughters, and a nephew died when a fire razed their house in Taguig on Oct. 5. 

According to the Taguig City Fire Station, the blaze started at about 3:54 a.m. in a house at No. 324 Gumamela Street, Katipunan Village in Barangay Western Bicutan.

Four people died in the fire. Authorities identified them as Emelita Entuna, 47, her two daughters, Hanna and Janna Entuna, both 13 years old; and her nephew Al Nassar Entuna, 21. 

Firefighters raised the first alarm at 4:07 a.m. The fire was put under control at 4:22 a.m. before it was put out at 4:37 a.m. 

The fire damaged P200,000 worth of properties and its cause is still under investigation. 

Nine fire trucks and four ambulances responded to the incident.
