CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela – A former overseas Filipino worker was shot dead in a relative’s wake in Barangay Camarang, San Isidro, Isabela on Wednesday, October 4.
Police Major Grandeur Tangonan, San Isidro chief of police, identified the victim as Jefferson Tumamao, 36, from Barangay Rizal East, San Isidro.
Tumamao was shot in the back by an unidentified suspect using a caliber .45 pistol. The victim died on the spot.
Four empty shells were recovered from the crime scene.
The suspect wearing a black shirt escaped on board a motorcycle.
Tangonan said that they have already identified a person of interest in the case.
The victim reportedly received death threats before the incident.
