2 motorcycles collide in Zamboanga City; 1 killed, 2 hurt

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A man was killed and two others were injured in a collision between two motorcycles here on Thursday, October 4.

Police identified the fatality as Danilo Fidel M. Omata, a resident of Barangay Santa Maria, this city.

The injured were identified as Reyhana M. dela Cruz, 14, and Samier Samsuya.

Investigation disclosed that Omata was driving a motorcycle with Dela Cruz as backrider on the main road of Barangay Santa Maria when he turned left upon reaching the junction of De Leon St. A motorcycle driven by Samsuya collided with Martinez’s motorcycle.

All three were thrown away because of the impact. Omata died on the spot while Dela Cruz and Samsuya were taken to the hospital.
