The Parañaque City government distributed 252 smart television units to public schools in the city for the use of children in their studies.

Mayor Eric Olivarez led the distribution of  the television units held at the Parañaque Elementary School Central Gymnasium in Barangay San Dionisio.

The Department of Education Schools Division Office headed by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Nerissa A. Losaria prepared a short program for Mayor Eric’s birthday celebration and also to thank him for the donation.

Elementary students dancing to the song “Kiss Me, Kiss Me” were joined by Mayor Eric and his brother, Congressman Edwin Olivarez.

Olivarez said the 252 smart televisions distributed to public schools included 150 units of 70-inch Samsung television and 102 pieces of 70-inch Sharp television for the use of elementary and high school students.

He said technology is a big help for students in the audio-visual presentation and student-centered learning for them to actively participate in school lectures and in other activities.

The mayor thanked the public school teachers, principals, supervisors, and non-teaching personnel for maintaining the schools' cleanliness, and for guiding and supporting their students.
