Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez led the opening of the city’s public library on Monday, Oct. 2.

Olivarez said the city’s public library, formerly located in Barangay La Huerta, was transferred to Barangay Sto. Nino and renovated to be more spacious and give convenience to students conducting research works.
He congratulated the Parañaque City Public Library's head librarian Crisette Ricardo for maintaining the orderliness of the library.
The mayor said the city’s public library serves as a “depository of knowledge” for students who visit to read and conduct their research work.
Olivarez said it was recorded that around 700 to 1,000 visits to the city public are for research work, study purposes, and reading activities.
He also announced that the city government in coordination with the office of Congressman Edwin Olivarez will build another public library in the city’s second district.
