The Chief Executive administered the oath of office to newly appointed government officials from various offices at the Malacañan Palace on Wednesday, Oct. 4.

“I trust that you will remain models of excellence and integrity, especially to your staff, stakeholders, and communities,” Marcos said.

“We witness the oaths of exemplary and honorable individuals who have been, and who will continue to be, assets to our country. These individuals are leaders and trailblazers in their own professions — exemplars of patriotism, of excellence, and wholehearted service throughout their careers and endeavors,” he added.

Officials who took oath before the President were National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Chairperson Jennifer Pia Sibug-las, Philippine Coast Guard Commander (PCG) Vice Admiral Roy Echeverria, and Special Envoy to the Republic of Korea for Digital Transformation Dennis Anthony Uy.

New officers of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Press Photographers of the Philippines (PPP), Malacañang Press Corps (MPC), Malacañang Cameramen Association (MCA), and Presidential Photojournalists Association (PPA) also took their oaths of office.

With the new officers at the helm of various government offices, Marcos stressed the opportunities open to them to improve their workplaces.

The President called for their unwavering commitment, saying it is crucial to the sectors they must serve.

But aside from his invitation to the new officers to fulfill their mandates with excellence, Marcos also assured them of his administration’s support to ensure the continuing development of their respective sectors.

“This administration will spare no effort to provide the support necessary to address the pressing concerns that hinder development in the sectors of our communities under your authority,” he said.

“Pagtulungan natin maitaguyod ang Bagong Pilipinas kung saan ang mga mamamayan ay namumuhay nang pantay-pantay, mapayapa, ligtas, at makabuluhan (Let us work together for a Bagong Pilipinas where our fellowmen will live with equality, peace, safety, and significance),” Marcos added.
