Father, son yield P3.4-M shabu


CITY of San Fernando, Pampanga – A father and his son were arrested and yielded around P3.4 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Pleasant Village, Barangay San Pablo, Malolos City, Bulacan, on Tuesday, October 3.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 3 (Central Luzon) identified the suspects as Anthony Chua, a Chinese national, and Jay Vie Cai.

Recovered from the suspects were sealed plastic bag containing more or less 500 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P3,450,000 and the marked money used by the PDEA poseur-buyer.

Operating teams conducted a month long casing and surveillance prior to the arrest of the suspects.

The operation was conducted by the combined elements of PDEA-Tarlac and Bulacan.

Suspects face a case for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
