2 dead, 2 hurt in QC fire


Two persons reportedly died while two others were hurt after a fire broke out at a residential area in Barangay Fairview, Quezon City early Wednesday morning, Oct. 4.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) identified the injured victims as William Uy, 47, who sustained multiple abrasions and puncture wound on the left thigh; and Michelle Uy, 4, who experienced difficulty in breathing during the incident.

The identities of the fatalities have yet to be disclosed by the authorities.

The BFP said the blaze on Lilac Omega, Barangay Fairview was raised to the first alarm at around 2:20 a.m.

Fire fighters were able to put the fire under control at around 2:51 a.m. It was extinguished at 3:01 a.m.

Authorities have yet to determine the amount of damage to property, the number of families affected, and the cause of the fire.
