No tsunami threat to PH after 6.6 quake near coast of Central Chile --- Phivolcs

The Philippine Institute of Seismology and Volcanology (Phivolcs) on Tuesday, Oct. 31 said there is no tsunami threat to the country after the magnitude 6.6 quakes near the coast of Central Chile.

Phivolcs said the earthquake occurred at 8:34 p.m. at a depth of 20 kilometers.

"No destructive tsunami threat exists," said Phivolcs, noting there is "no action required" related to the quake. (Lizst Torres Abello)
