Malabon gov't offers Holy Mass for the dead buried at Tugatog Public Cemetery
The Malabon city government on Tuesday, Oct. 31, offered a Holy Mass for the deceased who were buried at the Tugatog Cemetery in line with the commemoration of the All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day or “Undas 2023.”
The city government said residents and families can attend the Holy Masses for their loved ones at the cemetery which will be held until Nov. 2 at 9 a.m.

On Sunday, Oct. 29, the local government inaugurated the “Wall of Remembrance” (six walls) in front of Tugatog Public Cemetery where residents can pay respects and light candles for their loved ones buried at the site, which is currently undergoing renovation.
The names of the deceased individuals buried at Tugatog Public Cemetery were carved on the 8.4-meter walls which will open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Nov. 2.
Tugatog Public Cemetery was temporary closed by the city government in 2021, to give way to its redevelopment that aims for construction of more burial slots and make it a cleaner and more secured area.
The local government placed a help desk in front of the cemetery where residents and visitors can ask questions to city government personnel regarding the status of their loved ones at the burial site.
It also announced that city government offices will be closed starting Oct. 31up to Nov. 2, except for the departments in charge of health, security, traffic, and disaster/calamity preparedness to ensure public safety.
It added that the operations of the city government offices will resume on Friday, Nov. 3.
